The Blessings of Firstfruits Pt. 2

Firstfruits is a great mystery that many Christians have wrestled with but there is no point to be confused. Honour the Lord with your substance and with the firstfruits of all your increase. You must learn to honour the Lord, alot of Christians have no honour for the Lord. One of the several ways to honour the Lord is with your substance and it can be done through offerings, tithes and firstfruits. Today our focus is on honouring the Lord with your firstfruits.

The word translated firstfruits is the Hebrew word ‘rê'shı̂yth’ which means; A. First - It represent not just harvest or salary but something that is first in the lives of His people. Thus whatever or to whoever they give that sacrifice will become what is first. God desires to be first in our lives and He doesn’t want to share in that position with anyone. Thus, God knowing what the first harvest or salary of the year represented, He instructed for it, so He can release a special blessing on their lives.
