To watch is not to look without any distraction for a period of time. But much more than mere looking is to stay awake and also to pray. Vision is spiritual foresight or the ability to see into the spirit realm or see that which is to come.

3. In prayers, you will receive Impartations, Perceptions and Visions from the Holy Spirit. Those who pray a lot, see a lot. It’s only those who travail in prayers that catch a vision in the spirit. The Holy Ghost will impart you in prayers, He will give you perceptions to know things you wouldn’t know naturally - Acts 2:1—4, Acts 4:31, 33. 4. When you pray in the Spirit, your spiritual eyes are opened to see into the Realm of the Spirit. Your spiritual eyes open to perceive things that are not visible in the physical but things that exist in the supernatural world. Seeing and knowing spiritual realities that are not yet tangible to the natural eyes. It takes prayers to have your spiritual eyes opened. Only God can grant you that gift of sight.
