Steps to Inheriting the Promise
1. Don’t be Slothful or Lazy
When God gives you a promise through the prophetic word or prophecy, you don’t sleep over it. You work harder by pursuing God even more. 
Following is not for lazy people. Promises and prophecies stirs up warfare, spiritual attention and attacks - 1 Timothy 1:18-19.

2. Work hard to hold Good-Conscience. Align your life with the word of God. So while you are waiting for the promise or prophecy to manifest, stay away from sin because it will defile your good conscience and cause you to make shipwreck of your faith.

Shipwreck
•The destruction of a ship on the sea by sinking or breaking up.
•It also means to be stranded, helpless or left without a means to move from where you are.
•It also means left in the middle of nowhere without the means to get to your destination. In other words abortion of the promises of God concerning your life.
